In the last few years, Kentucky arts and culture organizations that steward the state's cultural heritage have faced recovery from significant natural disasters. Archives across the Midwest also face significant threats to their collections from disaster-level weather events. Although no one can ever be completely prepared, we can become more aware of the emergency management resources and assistance that are available.  In light of the upward trend of significant weather events causing disasters for repositories, the MAC Fall Symposium is pleased to provide practical disaster response training with "Disaster Planning Distilled: Practical Training Served Neat." Through hands-on salvage techniques, and sharing lessons learned, we hope to come together to gather information and distill that knowledge into practical information that will leave you a little more prepared. We hope this practical training and information sharing is served just like the bourbon in the bluegrass state: unfussy, practical, and distilled to the best parts. Disasters are messy, but we hope the information is served neat.

Registration

MAC Members: $150.00
Non-Members: $175.00
Students: $75.00

Registration fees cover attendance to the Symposium, two continental breakfasts, one box lunch, and break snacks.
