Institution: First Church (U.C.C.) in Oberlin, Ohio

Internship Description: The First Church (U.C.C.) in Oberlin, Ohio is accepting applications for an intern to arrange and describe the archives of the church. This is a part-time position,10-15 hours per week, and the wage is $15.00 per hour. Except for social security and worker's compensation, this position does not come with fringe benefits of medical insurance, pension, or sick/vacation time. The duration of the position will be up to 15 weeks.
Required qualifications: Holding a master's degree in archives or library and information science, working toward such a degree, or with substantial experience in the field.

Additional Information: The intern will be supervised by First Church staff. The Collections Manager of the Oberlin Heritage Center and the Oberlin College Archivist will serve as advisors.
The First Church archives include paper files, architectural drawings, artifacts, photographs, scrapbooks, books, digital files, CDs/DVDs, and electronic records.  Create a manual for the ongoing maintenance of the First Church archives.  Work with the First Church staff and the Oberlin Heritage Center to promote a collaborative effort to assist other Oberlin faith communities with the management of their archival collections.
