Come Judge at the State Contest

We anticipate over 470 students will be participating in the State Contest this year! To make it as successful as possible, we need over 100 judges to help evaluate the student's hard work. We hope you'll consider being one, and maybe even bring a friend!

How Do I Sign Up?
To sign up, follow these easy steps:

  1.  Visit the State Contest <https://ohiohistory.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=37ce5c8c24208a588c681edc5&id=ee8c1fd980&e=baef517f22> portal.
  2.  Create a new judge account, answer a few questions, specify a category preference and we'll take it from there. No category preference, no problem! We'll find a category that needs your help.


Or Judge at a Regional Contest

If you just can't get enough of History Day, then consider judging for a regional contest! Some regions are especially in need of judges this year. If you're available, we’d love to have you join us at both the regional and state levels. Click the "Sign Up" link to get started!

Did you know we also host Youth History Day for students in 4th and 5th grade? Youth History Day is designed for younger learners who are just being introduced to historical research.

We're looking for 10-12 judges who enjoy judging Junior Division projects and giving feedback designed to help students grow. If that's you, then consider judging at Youth History Day!
