[SOA] Participate in research study on Ohio libraries and generative AI

Hello!



You are invited to participate in an exploratory research study that
explores Ohio libraries and generative AI usage and policies. Please
consider participating if you are a director, dean, or comparable role at
an Ohio library.



The purpose of this study is to survey Ohio libraries on their usage and
policies related to generative AI. Generative AI and its well-known tools
such as ChatGPT have exploded in the last 2 years. How are Ohio libraries
using or not using generative AI tools as well as what policies are (or
not) currently in place around generative AI usage in Ohio libraries?



This study was approved by the IRB at Mount St. Joseph University (MSJ)
(S225-12) and Kettering Health IRB (00001338).

to participate. Your participation is voluntary and involves completing a
13-question survey with an expected time commitment of 20 minutes. You can
discontinue your participation at any time by exiting the survey. You will
be asked to answer questions about your library’s budget, current
generative AI usage, and generative AI policies. Study data will not be
inputted into generative AI tools and may be presented at professional
conferences and/or published. To ensure your responses will be included in
our study, please complete the survey by Friday, May 23, 2025 at 11:59pm ET.
