Hi Lisa,

Sorry you're dealing with this! Yes, we experienced this issue fairly recently as well, and you're right that it is very likely due to AI bots. Our ASpace instance is self-hosted. Our web developer was able to implement some measures that have helped restore the system responsiveness, and we haven't had a problem since then. I'm sure he'd be willing to provide further details if you'd like.

Hello-

The last couple of weeks, we have suddenly started experiencing extreme slowness with our ArchivesSpace instance (hosted by LibraryHost).  The suspicion is that it has something to do with AI bots crawling the site and just slamming the server until it crawls.   (Here's our instance, in case you want to experience the pain by searching for something: https://wright.libraryhost.com/.)

Anyone else experiencing issues recently?   And are you LibraryHost hosted, Lyrasis hosted, self-hosted, or some other hosting service I'm not aware of?
