Defined by innovation and perseverance, Ohio has long been a land of firsts-from transformative inventions and historic movements to pioneering cultural institutions. As we approach America's 250th anniversary, museums are not just reflecting on the legacy we've inherited, but actively shaping the future to come.
In an era of challenge and change, museums have proven their resilience-adapting to new realities, redefining their roles, and continuing to serve as vital pillars in their communities. But resilience is more than survival, it is the soil in which we grow.
What will it take to sustain this momentum? How can we continue to innovate while honoring our roots? What does it look like to grow with intention-driven by mission, grounded in equity, and ready to meet the next generation head-on?
Join us in Columbus, April 18-20, 2026 for the Ohio Museums Association's Annual Conference, Resilience through Growth: From Firsts to Futures<https://ohiomuseums.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=5b899769a472077f0ff0e1584&id=df03f11ebf&e=62cda6f278>, as we chart a course forward-rooted in legacy, powered by resilience, and inspired by the promise of what's next.
OMA is looking for innovative and engaging sessions that will create an interactive experience for our conference attendees.

  * The Future of Diversity, Accessibility, Equity and Inclusion: how museums are embedding this important work into our values and the structure of who we are
  * Facing Challenges through Change and Growth: growth can be messy and isn't always comfortable; how have we flexed our growth muscles for innovative and lasting change?
  * Growing the A in STEAM: how museums are ensuring arts, culture, and humanities are included in the future of education
  * Technology for the Future: how museums are using tech and incorporating AI in practical exhibits, interactive tours, & more
  * Financial Growth and Resilience: how to grow on a tight budget, development and donor relations, financial best practices, grants and other funders, finding and cultivating diverse funding sources
  * Big Picture Questions for the Future: addressing worker needs, HR and recruitment issues, climate change, remaining relevant, and more
