Sharing on behalf of the 2026 TPSFest organizers -- this is a great
opportunity for those who teach with primary sources!
------------
TPSFest is back! The 2026 dates will be:
Thu, July 9, 2026
Wed, July 15, 2026
Tue, July 21, 2026
Some ACTION ITEMS and THINGS TO NOTE:
- The TPS Fest 2026 website is live: https://tpscollective
.org/events-and-opportunities/tpsfest2026/! This is our home for dates,
session info (later this spring), registration details, etc.
- If you are thinking about presenting at TPS Fest 2026, now's your
chance! Similar to last year, we have a collaboration spreadsheet
<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UBhEYU677EDdFr96lg-K9GzLjYN-slfXGM5N1Fyu6as/edit?gid=0#gid=0>
if
you are looking for fellow speakers or co-conspirators. This spreadsheet is
available now, and we encourage you add to it and/or respond to topics
of interest. Please read the help text at the top (I promise we wrote it
for a reason) and collaborate away!
- *New in this email! *Here's the link for the session submission form:
https://forms.gle/nK4e6WRo7LDSXGQY6. *If you would like to submit your
session for TPSFest 2026, PLEASE make sure to submit it by April 15. *This
is not a peer review or "yes or no" process, but it is a way to help your
friendly neighborhood "session planning" team streamline our work. Note
that you do not need to use the collaborator spreadsheet to submit a
session, if you have an idea that is ready to go--you can just submit it
now!
- It's also a great time to check for possible collaborators if you
haven't already!
- And if you have an idea for a single lightning talk (10 min or
less), rather than a session full of talks, you may submit it
individually
here, and TPS session organizers will work on putting a lightning
talks together in one or more sessions.
I'm leading the session organizing volunteers again this year, so you're
welcome to reach out to tpsfest at tpscollective.org or to me directly (
kadietz at vt.edu) if you have questions or issues with the sheet or form.
Best,
Kira (on behalf of our many TPS Fest volunteer organizers)
