/4casting technologies that could have an impact on public libraries./
The Library of Congress announced today that it will be archiving every
tweet ever made
<http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/news/2010/04/library-of-congress-were-archiving-every-tweet-ever-made.ars>.*
That's a mighty big claim! Also today, Google got into the Twitter
archive game
<http://searchengineland.com/all-the-old-tweets-are-found-google-launches-twitter-archive-search-39962?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+searchengineland+%28Search+Engine+Land%29&utm_content=Google+Reader>,
so be careful what you're tweeting. It may come back and haunt you later!
If you'd rather archive on your own, here are some services to check out:
* Twapper Keeper <http://twapperkeeper.com/index.php>
* Twitter Tools: Archive Tweets in WordPress
<http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/twitter-tools/>
* Archiving Twitter in Outlook: Twinbox
<http://www.techhit.com/TwInbox/twitter_plugin_outlook.html>for
your inbox or Twistory <http://twistory.net/> for use with your
calendar (also works with Google calendar)
* Evernote <http://blog.evernote.com/2009/04/14/evernote_twitter/>
*We tried to link directly to the LOC announcement, but the news has
apparently brought the site down.
