Why are supervisors important? What does a supervisor do? What are the
challenges faced by new supervisors? What can a person do to become a
more effective supervisor? These are just a sampling of the topics that
will be covered during this workshop designed for those with three or
less years in supervisory management. Included will be the Supervisory
Skills Questionnaire (2nd Edition), published by HRDQ which will enable
attendees to actually assess their skills as the day progresses. While
the questionnaire is designed for those with three or less years of
experience, seasoned supervisors are welcome to attend and share their
insight and experiences with others. Part II will be held on Friday,
October 31, 2003.
