CREATE A SAFE & HEALTHY BUILDING
Presented by: Miriam Kahn, MBK Consulting
Date & Time: Tue, Sep 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Fees: Free to MOLO/OVAL/SOLO members; $50 non-members
---Have you ever wondered where the hazardous places and environments are in
your library? How you will deal with these dangers? How you will protect
your collections and your patrons, especially those with disabilities? Learn
about surveying your building as a preliminary step toward good indoor air
quality. Learn where the potential hazards are for your older patrons and
for your patrons with disabilities. This workshop will cover two related
topics: working with disabled patrons and indoor air quality. The first part
will provide an overview of the needs of patrons with disabilities and
elderly patrons. Learn how ADA requirements affect cultural institutions,
looking at both the physical facility and such basic requirements as ramps

easier and educators have been searching for new ways to detect and control
these practices. Cynthia will discuss what is (and what is not) plagiarism,
plagiarism indicators or clues, how to confirm plagiarism using the Internet
