SOLO presents:  Windows Publisher--Basics--Part 2
When:  Thursday, 10/30/2003

Speaker: John Paul, Winsoft

Description:  This is a continuation of the Basic Publisher class held on
Oct. 8, 2003.  However, there are a couple seats available for anyone who
has limited knowledge and wants to learn more.

This class will begin with a review of Design Concepts and Story Creation.
There will be an increased focus on text formatting as the students learn to
apply character and paragraph formats, alter text orientation, and create
columns.  Multiple page layouts will be examined using Two Page Spreads, and
mirrored images.

Other topics include creating background images, custom text wrapping,
cropping photos, and page numbering.  Advanced printing issues will be
discussed at length including color separations, copy shop vs. commercial
printers, and the creation of postscript files.

Prerequisite: Microsoft Publisher Basic: Day 1or a limited working
knowledge.
