                                 REFERENCE SERVICES COORDINATOR

    The Pickaway County District Public Library, serving a population of
53,000, and located 25 miles South of Columbus, Ohio, is looking for a
qualified individual interested in customer service to manage its
reference and information services, from a new 28,000 square foot
facility. The current holder of this position is retiring in April.
Duties include: selecting reference and young adult materials,
overseeing periodical and newspaper collection, assisting information
needs of patrons using print, non-print, and electronic sources, and
supervision of small staff. This full-time position (40 hours per week)
reports to the Library Director, and includes some evening and weekend
hours. Qualifications: 4 year college degree required, MLS from an
ALA-accredited program desirable; at least 2 years public library
experience and 1 year supervisory experience; good working knowledge of
reference resources and techniques; experience with internet and
electronic resources; good computer skills; and knowledge of current
young adult literature. Starting salary range for this position
$22,900.80-$29,016.00(DOQ). Very good benefit package. Send resume,
