LSTA Continuing Education Grant Program

It is not to late to apply for an LSTA Continuing Education Grant!

The C.E. grant program is designed to "support costs associated in offering
continuing education, professional development, seminars, and training
programs that increase the competencies of library staff or increase the
visibility of the library in the community". Proposals must focus on
training and continuing education activities for either staff or customers
or both.

The open grant cycle is intended for events scheduled between January 1,
2005 and June 30, 2005. Requests may be up to $10,000 in federal funds.
This is a competitive grant program open to all types of libraries. There
is a 25% hard dollar match of the total project amount requested.
Applicants should be aware that the intent of the federal funds is to lessen
costs to participants; funds may not be used to generate a profit.

Electronic proposals must be received at the State Library on or before
August 1, 2004. Complete details on the grant program and application
requirements can be found at http://winslo.state.oh.us/publib/lstace.html
