POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Library Director
Kaubisch Memorial Public Library
Fostoria, Ohio
RESPONSIBILITIES: Located in a rural community an hour south of Toledo,
the Kaubisch Memorial Public Library seeks a Director who will manage
and direct a main library with an operating budget of $850,000 and a
staff of 17+ people. The Library Director is the chief operating
officer of the library with major administrative responsibility for
implementing Library Board policy and recommending, implementing, and
evaluating an active program of educational, cultural, and information
services relevant to the Fostoria community in accordance with the goals
and objectives established by the Board of Trustees.
REQUIREMENTS: An MLS/MLIS degree from an ALA accredited program is
required. Candidates must also demonstrate seven years progressive
experience in professional library management and administrative positions.
COMPENSATION: Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
Benefit package includes paid individual health insurance, sick leave,
vacation, PERS retirement, and a deferred compensation program.
