The Greater Cincinnati Library Consortium (GCLC) has unveiled a new 
version of its Greater Cincinnati Memory Project.

Originally launched in the spring of 2000, the Memory Project provides 
access to over 6,000 images of pre-1940 landmarks, events, and people in 
the Greater Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky area.  Area libraries 
contribute photos, postcards, and slides that they wish to showcase.

The Project web site has a new look and a new way to search and browse 
for images.  Using the Greenstone Digital Library Software, the site 
provides quick and easy access to the Project's images. 

The site also has a new address:

http://www.CincinnatiMemory.org

The old address will continue to work, but the new URL is the one that 
will be advertised and promoted in the future.
