Hello,
I am looking for methods that libraries use to get
overdue materials/fines from patrons.

Does your library use a collection agency to retrieve
materials/monies owed to their library and if so, what
agency do you use, is there a minimum (patron fine)
limit that is set before the "bill" is referred to the
agency and does the library pay the collection agency
the amount that a patron owes if the patron finally
returns their overdue materials to the library? Also,
if there are other pros/cons for using a collection
agency that you would like to share, this information
would be greatly appreciated.

If your library does not use a collection agency, by
what method(s) do you get overdue (6 weeks +) back
from patrons, and does this method(s) work?
Thank-you for your time.
Sincerely,
Amy Garrett
Amy
