The Ohio Historical Society Local Government Records Program (LGRP) is =
proud to announce the availability of its "Local Government Records: =
Just the Basics" video workshop. The video workshop is a great =
educational tool for any Ohio local governments or political =
subdivisions that create and maintain public records.
The video workshop has a run time of 75 minutes and covers all of the =
topics typically covered in an LGRP workshop, such as pertinent public =
records laws, records commissions, conducting a records inventory, =
determining retention periods, filing the appropriate RC-1, RC-2 and =
RC-3 forms and media decisions (paper, microfilm or electronic). In =
addition, there is an expanded section covering the basics of disaster =
preparedness and prevention. Included with the video are slide =
handouts, blank RC forms and pertinent public records laws. For more =
information on what is included in the video or to download a =
brochure/order form, visit =
