The Encyclopedia Britannica Workshops scheduled throughout Ohio still have
openings!   

Sign up now for the free workshops by going to the State Library of Ohio's
workshop registration site at http://www.slocem.lib.oh.us/ and clicking on
the link to "current listing of SLO workshops."

Registration is still open for the following training sessions: 
Oct 19, morning & afternoon sessions, Columbus
Oct 20, morning & afternoon sessions, Caldwell
Oct 21, morning & afternoon sessions, Newcomerstown
Oct 22, morning & afternoon sessions, Cadiz

Oct 26, morning & afternoon sessions, Warren
Oct 28, morning & afternoon sessions, Bowling Green

Nov 16, morning & afternoon sessions, Cincinnati
Nov 18, morning & afternoon sessions, Wellston

The hands-on workshops are being offered to help familiarize everyone with
Encyclopia Britannica's revamped online product.    Training materials will
be provided.   Workshops will include training on new Britannica resources
such as age-appropriate displays, research projects, student activities,
assignments, lesson plans, the Annals of American History, and already
existing Britannica resources including multimedia, video clips, the
Britannica Internet Guide, current magazine articles, Spanish-language
resources, as well the "quick click" dictionary, world atlas, interactive
timelines, and subject and index browse features.

Training is sponsored jointly by OPLIN, Libraries Connect Ohio, the State
Library of Ohio, and Encyclopedia Britannica.    To see the schedule of
