Northern Ohio Alliance for Response Forum

Disasters, large and small, from natural or mechanical causes, can =
strike at any time.  Effective disaster planning can help mitigate the =
effects of these events.  The Alliance for Response is an initiative to =
develop cooperative regional disaster response networks that bring =
together cultural heritage institutions and first responders before =
disaster occurs. =20

The Intermuseum Conservation Association, the Cleveland Museum of Art, =
and OCLC Online Computer Library Center, Inc. invite you to join =
colleagues from libraries, museums, and historical societies throughout =
Northern Ohio at the November 4 Alliance for Response forum.  The forum =
will focus on disaster planning from a variety of perspectives, =
including insights from those whose institutions have experienced =
disasters first-hand and first responders including fire departments and =
the Ohio Emergency Management Agency.  Other topics include collection =
valuation, what insurance representatives need to know, and developing =
collaborative disaster response plans.  Afternoon breakout sessions will =
offer in-depth panel discussions on working with insurers, vendor =
relations, and working effectively with first responders. =20
