Greene County is in the process of upgrading our Gates (public)
computers to include both DVD/RW and USB.
The reality is that almost anything you download these days is too big
for a floppy, new computers don't have floppies, and a patron who is
actually working on a project needs the ability to read and write to a
larger storage media.

Subject: [OPLINLIST] Burning CDs

Hello!
I had a patron ask me about the possibility of saving to a CD or burning
a CD at our public library. My immediate response was a concern for the
copyright laws in place. Therefore, my question to the list is--Are
there any libraries out there that are allowing this practice? If so,
would you share your specifics with me? Please respond off list and
thank you!
