The Kent State University School of Library and Information Science 
(SLIS) will hold it annual "Alumni and Friends Awards & Honors" dinner 
on Tuesday, April 5 at Kent State University.  This year's dinner will 
honor the following outstanding individuals:

C. Allen Nichols, Director, Wadsworth Public Library:
"Alumnus of the Year" Award

 David Jennings, Interim Director, Akron-Summit County Public Library:
"Friend of the Year" Award
 
The evening will begin with a social hour, with hors d'oeuvres and wine, 
at 6:00 p.m. in the School of Library and Information Science.  A buffet 
dinner will follow at 7:15 in the Ballroom of the Kent Student Center.  
An awards presentation will begin at 8:00 p.m.

 The featured speaker for the evening is Jo Budler, State Librarian of 
Ohio.

 The cost of the dinner is $30.00 per person.  If you wish to attend,
