Ohio E-Book Project FAQ info
Information about the Ohio E-book Project is available on the State Library
of Ohio's Web site, http://winslo.state.oh.us/publib/ebook.html. A
frequently asked questions (FAQ) is available at

The most important points of the FAQ are:
* Cost includes a $1500.00 ONE TIME set-up fee.
* You may need to purchase a SIP, SIP2, or Patron API protocol
from your vendor.
* You must agree to apply 1% of your collection budget to the
purchase of books for the OEP collection.
* You must agree to share with all OEP members the e-books and
e-audio books that your library purchases.
* Your library must be willing to volunteer staff to possibly
serve on task forces or committees that will guide the development of this
project.
If you are interested in joining the Ohio E-Book Project, please contact me
as soon as possible to let me know. I would like to hear from you by
Monday, May 9. For those who are interested, I will quickly send a form for
you to fill in your ILS vendor settings and will also send a memo of
understanding for your organization to sign. The ILS vendor settings form
will need to be returned as soon as possible.
