[OPLINLIST] New Listserv for Ohio's children's librarians available

TO ALL OHIO CHILDREN'S LIBRARIANS:

 

I am pleased to announce that the State Library of Ohio now has a
special listserv for Ohio's children's librarians.  As part of our
program to provide better communication between and among Ohio's
children's library professionals, we are offering this service. The
listserv also supports the goals of the newly formed YOUTH SERVICES
ADVISORY COUNCIL. 

 

OHCHILD is a State Library of Ohio mailing list for Ohio's children's
librarians.  Topics of interest to this audience are discussed as well
as current issues related to children's services in libraries. Some
examples of OHCHILD content include: 

 

*	Practical tips on programming and other services to children
from professional children's librarians 
*	Discussions on issues pertinent to children's services in
libraries


Who can subscribe: Ohio children's librarians or others who have an
interest in children's services may subscribe to OHCHILD.


 

How to Subscribe: To subscribe to OHCHILD, send an (empty) message to 

ohchild-subscribe at winslo.state.oh.us

 

A confirmation request message will be sent back to you. To confirm your
subscription, just reply to the ``Reply-To:'' address. Usually, the
``reply'' function of your mail program will do this.  Once the
list-owner receives your confirmation, your address will be added to the
subscriber database and you will receive a message to tell you that you
are a subscriber.

To send Messages to OHCHILD use the following address: 

ohchild at winslo.state.oh.us

 

The OHCHILD list  will be moderated by Ruth Metcalf and questions on the
list may be directed to her at the address/phone/email below.
