Building the Library Brand

Do you know what your customers are thinking? In a workshop created
especially for CAMLS, two marketing experts will engage in one of the best
discussions on branding that you will ever attend. OCLC recently conducted
an environmental scan and analysis of public perceptions about libraries.
The results may surprise you, provoke you, and ultimately, inspire you.
Join Alane Wilson from OCLC for a discussion of the findings.

Tom Traynor of Breehl, Traynor & Zehe, one of only two certified brand
strategists in Ohio, will then talk to you about ways your library can use
the data to give your library "personality" and create a brand that is
relevant, trusted, and indispensable to our public. You'll learn the
difference between "branding" and "brand development" through a seven-step
process that takes you from assessment to return on investment.
