[OPLINLIST] Society of Ohio Archivists: Pre-Registration Ends April 14

There are only two days left for pre-registration for this year's Society of Ohio Archivists conference! Registrations received after 6 p.m. on Friday April 14 will be billed at the late registration rate. The conference is April 19-21 at the Ohio Historical Center in Columbus. Registration for SOA Members is only $40 and includes parking and lunch ($50 for non-members). Register online at www.ohioarchivists.org/conference  
 
FEATURED SPEAKERS
Max Evans, Executive Director of NHPRC will deliver the plenary on Thursday, April 20. John Haas of the Ohio Historical Society will speak on his book, "To Battle for God and the Right: The Civil War Letterbooks of Emerson Opdycke" on Friday, April 21. 

SESSIONS
This year's conference features twelve sessions based on the theme, "Moving Archival Basics Into the Future." Sessions are:

EVENTS
Other events include: Tours of the Ohio Governor's Mansion, the State Library of Ohio and the Ohio Historical Society; a Silent Auction; Poster Sessions; and SOA's annual Business Meeting, Elections, and Merit Awards.  

SCRAPBOOK PRESERVATION WORKSHOP
A pre-conference workshop titled, "Scrapbook Preservation: Challenges and Opportunities for Archivists and Preservation Librarians" will be held on Wednesday, April 19. Registration is limited to 30 people. Register now, as seats are filling up fast!
