Children's librarians--

This month, visit http://www.ohionet.org/ref_preview.php to check out
the OPLIN/OHIONET subscription database preview.  Letters were sent
this week to library directors detailing OPLIN's13 group contracts,
some of them especially relevant to children's reference needs, like
"CultureGrams" and "Literary Reference Center."

Due to shrinking usage and rising costs, OPLIN is dropping the
statewide subscription for Discoverer.  Your library could choose to
pay for it on its own.  I would encourage you to compare it to the
"Student Research Center" and "Kids Search" products that OPLIN
provides as part of the EBSCO collection:

The forms for joining OPLIN group contracts (or renewing your existing
group subscriptions) are due back by May 19.
