September 20th is the early bird registration deadline for the 32nd
Annual 

Conference of the Academic Library Association of Ohio (ALAO) on Friday,


November 3, 2006 at the Crowne Plaza Quaker Square in Akron, Ohio (link

The conference, themed "Recipes for Library Success: Ingredients,
Process 

and Product" will offer a banquet of fresh ideas that will whet your 

appetite, addressing a wide variety of issues related to work in
academic 

libraries.  Information about the keynote speaker, Dr. J. Richard
Madaus,

The conference will be held in Akron, Ohio at the unique Crowne Plaza 

Quaker Square, the former factory for Quaker Oats, listed in the

Register of Historic Places.  Because the hotel is situated in the
