      Description

This day-long workshop will provide an opportunity for entry-level 
catalogers and other library staff to learn about the structure and 
function of these two common data formats, how they interact with one 
another, and how they relate to other library databases. Session of each 
of the two formats will be followed by a closing session tying it all 
together.


      Meal

Continental Breakfast and Lunch will be provided. Please indicate if you 
prefer vegetarian options.


      Audience

Aimed primarily at paraprofessionals and copy catalogers, this workshop 
would also be useful for public services staff who want an overview of 
the MARC format.
