[Poppy Girton]

One of our patrons wants to re-read a novel she read several years ago.  
She has no title or author, just a synopsis of the plot:  A disfigured 
war veteran has reconstructive surgery, then returns to his home (he has 
been presumed dead) and begins working for his "widow"'s second 
husband.  Does this ring any bells?
