Finding Medical Information on the Internet
In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to search for and evaluate
health and medical information on the Internet for healthcare
professionals and consumers. Print and commercially published database
ready-reference tools for healthcare research are compared to the core
Internet ready-reference tools. In addition you will learn about and
have available on the Web a core e-library of 'the best' ready-reference
resources for healthcare information on the Internet. On completion of
the workshop each registrant will receive a certificate of completion
for 6 Continuing Education Contact Hours with an option for 4 additional
units Web-based.

Diane Kovacs
Diane K. Kovacs is President of Kovacs Consulting - Internet & Web
Training. She has more than twelve years of experience as a Web Teacher
and Consultant. Diane has been designing and teaching Web-based MLA CE
courses since 2001. She also designs and teaches Web-based courses for
UIUC GSLIS LEEP, the ACRL, and other organizations. Diane received an
M.S. in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois
in 1989 and an M.Ed. in Instructional Technology from Kent State
University in 1993. She has a B.A. in Anthropology also from the
