[OPLINLIST] Mock Caldecott Election Workshop

Dr. Carolyn S. Brodie, Kent State University, School of Library and
Information Science, is a member of the 2007 Caldecott Committee, who will
be deciding what are the most distinguished picture books from the year
2006. 

Come get an "inside" look at what it is like to serve on this prestigious
committee, and also what some of her favorites are for the year.
Participants will have the opportunity to read and evaluate the
illustrations of some of the most distinguished picture books published in
2006, and participate in an election to decide SERLS' winners! From
childrens library associates just beginning their careers to experienced
veterans who want to discuss the best books of the year, this workshop has
something for everyone!

Three locations for the Southeast Regional Library System (SERLS) service
area!

12/4 at the Westerville Public Library

 12/5 at the SERLS building in Wellston

 12/6 at the SEO Annex in Caldwell.
