Clerk-Treasurer/Fiscal Officer - Grade 9 (Salaried)


Main Library, 101 W. Main Street, Newark, OH

 

Under the supervision of the Library's Board of Trustees, this
administrative staff position manages all of the fiscal activities and
functions of the library.  The Clerk-Treasurer/Fiscal Officer oversees
the Library's day-to-day fiscal activities.    

 

Salaried (37.5 hrs/week routinely).  The successful applicant will be
required to work the hours necessary to complete the tasks of this
position in a satisfactory manner.

Salary

Begins at $1,489.59 on bi-weekly basis - Grade 9, Step A - with an
increase of one step when the probationary period is successfully
completed.  However, the appointment will be made commensurate with the
successful applicant's experience, qualifications, and salary history.


 

Probationary Period

The first 6 months in this position are considered probationary in
nature.  The successful applicant's performance will be reviewed at 6
months, and if their performance is satisfactory, the staff member will
receive a rate increase of one step and their probationary status will
end.  If the staff member's performance is not satisfactory, the staff
member can be terminated or the probationary period may be extended for
a maximum of three more months, if, in the opinion of the Library, it
seems the staff member needs more time to show they can perform at the
expected level.  If the staff member's performance is still not
satisfactory at the end of this second probationary period, their
employment with the Library will be terminated.
