TECHNOLOGY DIRECTOR 

 


The Akron-Summit County Public Library is currently seeking qualified
candidates for the position of Technology Director.  Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to, directing the work of and supervising
those in charge of the Library's Information Technology, Electronic
Services, and Technical Services departments; and developing and
overseeing implementation of system-wide technology policy and procedure
and long and short-term technology plans.

 

Qualifications include, considerable experience in the field of Library
technical services, electronic, and information services; previous
experience at the level of manager or above required; and a master's
degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited school
of Library and information required.   Integrated Library System
knowledge; and Ohio Public Library Certification strongly preferred.
