John Fink is currently a librarian at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

administrator dealing with free software. His professional interests
include how libraries can use social networking, free software, and
Creative Commons to further patron interaction and collection development.
Description
Copyright. It's one of the thorniest and most frustrating issues facing
libraries in the world of easily reusable media. This workshop will
explore the Creative Commons, an alternative to full copyright. You'll
learn what the Creative Commons is and the various licenses associated
with it, how to find material licensed under the Creative Commons and
incorporate it into your own projects, and how and why to license your
own creative works under a Creative Commons license.
Meal
Light snacks will be served
