Due to retirement, the Wood County District Public Library in Bowling Green 
has the following open position... 

Title: 
Circulation Supervisor, Wood County District Public Library (Bowling Green, OH) 

Schedule: 
Full-time 37.5 hours per week; evenings and weekends required 

Required Minimum Education: 
Bachelor´s degree 

Required Minimum Experience: 
2 years supervisory experience in a public library 

Other Requirements: 
Excellent leadership and communication skills and strong customer service skills 
are required. Strong general computer skills required (MS Office, Internet, etc). 
Position requires ability to stand for several hours per shift, to bend to floor level 
and to reach a height over 70 inches. Must be able to push movable carts loaded to 
a maximum of 250 pounds, carry 15 pounds and lift up to 35 pounds. 
Preferred Requirements: 
Experience working within the SEO Automation Consortia and the Horizon ILS 
online catalog system. 
Typical Duties and Responsibilities: 
The position is responsible for managing all circulation functions for the library 
system, according to library policies and procedures. Works closely with the 
Director and other department heads to insure the library provides quality customer 
service. This position oversees the daily operations of the circulation department at 
the main library, including providing direct service to library patrons on a daily 
basis. 
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, coaching/disciplining, 
supervising, evaluating, problem solving, project management and change agent 
activities on a wide range of staffing and procedural issues related to circulation 
functions. 
The circulation department is responsible for handling all issues relating to 
checking materials in and out, patron cards and accounts, overdues and collection 
agency issues, patron reserves, receiving and shipping ILLs via U.S. Cargo, 
mending materials, etc. In addition, this position supervises the Page Staff that 
shelves materials, shifts and shelf-reads the collections, pulls materials for Cargo, 
etc. 

Salary: 
Annual salary range starts at $30,000, plus a generous benefits package

Library Information: 
The Wood County District Public Library consists of a main library in Bowling 
Green, a branch library in Walbridge, a small volunteer-run library at the Wood 
County Justice Center, and bookmobile service throughout the county. The 
population of the library´s service district is approximately 65,000 and annual 
system-wide circulation is approaching 600,000. More than 6,000 people visit the 
main library each week. The City of Bowling Green is home to Bowling Green 
State University, has a population of approximately 30,000, and has recently been 
selected one of the best hometowns in Ohio by Ohio Magazine,
