The Germantown Public Library is seeking a well-qualified, energetic 
director.  Germantown is located in southwest Montgomery County, 
approximately 15 miles southwest of Dayton and 40 miles north of 
Cincinnati.  The library serves a school district community of 
approximately 20,000.  The facility is a 14,000 square foot building 
erected in 1983, and presently in the midst of a major remodeling, 
estimated to be completed in June, 2008.  

We are seeking a director to lead collection development, program 
development, staff management and community relations as our new 
facility becomes an integral part of the Valley View Community.  Other 
duties include overseeing the development and preservation of a local 
history collection, and overseeing building maintenance.

The position requires an MLS from an ALA accredited institution and a 
minimum of 5 years professional administrative experience, preferably in 
a public library.  Knowledge of library automation is a necessity.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
