      Speaker(s)

*Sheila Freyhof* is the Training Instructor and the Volunteer Services 
Coordinator for the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. 
Sheila has worked as a Reference Librarian at the Green Township Branch 
and a Children's Librarian at the Mariemont Branch, where she served for 
six years. Sheila has been the Training Instructor in Human Resources 
for the past seven years. This new career path has given her an 
opportunity to design and implement over 35 different programs for the 
library not including those with outside presenters.


      Description

Participants will develop an awareness and sensitivity to people with 
different cultural values, beliefs, traditions, or customs and norms. 
Utilizing interactive and experiential learning processes to challenge 
the assumptions participants make about people, this class will develop 
the skills employees need to work effectively in cross-cultural 
situations and diverse settings.

No meal is provided with this event.

This class is open to all levels of library staff.
