Greetings!

 

There is still time for you or a fellow staff member to register for
OHIONET's Fundamentals of Cataloging: Classification workshop! This time,
we're bringing the show on the road as we travel to North Canton, in Stark
County! OHIONET's Fundamentals of Cataloging series covers the basics of
cataloging over the course of four sessions. In this session, we will cover
the theories behind the classification schemes (both Dewey Decimal and
Library of Congress) used by most academic and public libraries.
Participants will learn how these classifications are used for organization
and access to materials. This is the perfect workshop for those staff
members who need a refresher course, or for those just starting out.

 

When: Thursday, May 8th, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Where: Walsh University, Timken Natural Sciences Building Computer Lab, 2020
E. Maple Street NW, North Canton OH 44720

Cost: $80 (members); $100 (non-members)
