Librarians: Are you proud of your readers advisory skills? Would you like to share them with a statewide audience?

Directors and Managers: Would you like to showcase your staff's readers advisory talents? Would you like to become part of Ohio's KnowItNow24x7 tradition?

KnowItNow24x7 is looking for libraries to staff shifts during the day and early evening to monitor the Reading Recommendations/ReadThisNow queue. Along with the ability to hone you or your staff's readers advisory skills (for all ages), you will be on the cutting edge of virtual reference technology with the new software now being implemented for KnowItNow24x7. Training for your staff (if you are not a current member of the KnowItNow24x7 provider network) can be provided, and we can work with you to integrate the service into your regular reference routine. Current KnowItNow24x7 provider libraries are also welcome to inquire about getting involved in the ReadThisNow queue.

If this opportunity sounds intriguing or if you're curious as to other ways your library can get involved in KnowItNow24x7, please contact Don Boozer, KnowItNow24x7 Coordinator, at either dboozer at cpl.org or support at knowitnow.org.

KnowItNow24x7 is the statewide virtual reference service available to all residents of Ohio and is made possible thanks to an LSTA grant from the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), awarded by the State Library of Ohio.
