POSITION AVAILABLE:  FISCAL OFFICER

 

GENERAL INFORMATION:

 

The Troy-Miami County Public Library seeks a full-time Fiscal Officer to
manage its financial operations.  The Fiscal Officer is responsible for
the Library's $2 million annual budget and investments.  The Troy-Miami
County Public Library is a county district library comprised of the main
library, two branches and a bookmobile with 50 plus employees.  

 

The Fiscal Officer serves as the chief financial officer of the Library
and ensures that the financial operations comply with all applicable
laws and regulations, the policies of the Board of Trustees and sound
financial practices.  The position acts as the chief purchasing agent
for the Library and is responsible in its entirety for the payroll
processing and benefits management.  The position is appointed by and
reports to the Board of Trustees pursuant to Section 3375.32 of the Ohio
Revised Code.

 

Minimum Education, Experience and Training

 

*	Bachelor's degree in business/finance or accounting or related
field from an accredited university or equivalent experience
*	CPA certification or certification by GFOA
*	Three to five years of progressive accounting experience in an
accounting environment
*	Knowledge of CMI software and governmental fund accounting
experience
*	Knowledge of modified cash basis of accounting and capable of
presenting OCBOA reports
*	Previous computer accounting and budgeting experience in public
finance administration required with governmental or public library fund
accounting experience
*	Pre-employment tests which are directly related to the position
responsibilities may be administered

*	Must be bonded by the Library's bonding company
*	Successfully pass a Bureau of Criminal Identity and
Investigation background check
