The popularity of graphic novels for younger readers is on the rise,
with new books being published everyday in a comic format. From comic
biographies to graphic novels about science and math -- this format is
about to explode with new and exciting titles for students in
elementary. Join graphic novels guru *Michele Gorman* in this webinar
specifically tailored to meet the needs of educators serving children
who want to know more about this format...including why it's so
important to add these books to every elementary library collection.
Michele will lead the Webinar.
*Valerie Davis* is the Teen Librarian at the Newport Branch of the
Campbell County Library. Valerie currently reviews graphic novels for
the No Flying, No Tights website <http://www.noflyingnotights.com/>, as
well as being an active contributor to ROYAL
<http://www.swonlibraries.org/royal/> and CARGYS
<http://www.swonlibraries.org/cargys>. Her addiction to graphic novels
began at age 8 with her first collection of Teen Titan comic books!
Valerie will lead the Moderated Discussion following the Webinar.
