OHIONET extends this invitation to your library to attend a special
demonstration of Aeon, a special collections management software
application.
 
Many of the challenges of running a special collections library are unique
to that genre of library. Atlas Systems has designed and developed a
circulation management system that enables special collections libraries to
provide better customer service in a more secure and controlled environment.
Aeon allows special collections librarians to improve both the depth and
quality of services they provide patrons, and maintains an accurate
historical record of all transactions for much greater security for the
library's valuable and often irreplaceable collection.  This historical
record includes tracking not only patron usage, but also tracking of the
library staff's handling of the item from start to finish.
  
Please join Atlas Systems and OHIONET for a special demonstration of the
Aeon system.
 
When:  June 11, 2008
Where: Attend the onsite session at OHIONET, or from your library via
webcast
Time:   10:30 am - 1:00 pm.
Cost:    No charge
 
Lunch will be provided for attendees at the OHIONET onsite session.
 
Please confirm attendance with an e-mail to Carol Ritzenthaler at
carol at ohionet.org and indicate your preference for onsite vs. online. If you
choose the online option, instructions for logging onto the webcast will be
e-mailed to you. The registration deadline is Monday, June 9th.
