        C. J. Box, Noted Author, Coming to Geauga County

C. J. Box, noted author of the Joe Pickett mystery series, will be in Geauga
County on Saturday, November 15 to discuss his latest book, Blood Trail, at
the invitation of the Geauga County Library Foundation and the combined
Friends of the Libraries. He will be appearing at Notre Dame Educational
Center, 13000 Auburn Rd., at 7:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

Box sets all of his mysteries in national parks in the western states. His
descriptions of the natural settings are so captivating that the park seems
to actually be one of the characters in the developing story. Not only does
one become caught up in the mystery, but each of his books also contains
elements of a current controversial issue such as endangered species, the
environment or the ethics of hunting. This author has such a following that
folks are coming from as far away as Pittsburgh just to meet and hear him.

After one has met Joe Pickett, game warden and recurring character in the
series, one realizes that Box has a talent for creating a man who is both
believable and able to get you on his side. He is a family man, a hunter,
an advocate for the majestic beauty surrounding him, yet still vulnerable
and occasionally flawed.

Box will be available for autographing books following the presentation.
Books will be made available by Granfalloon Bookstore of Chardon. Credit
cards will be accepted
