 Hello, everyone...

I wanted to send out another message about Nate Malenke from Coshocton, Ohio
as a presenter for your anime or manga club. He has been helping me with
our club and has presented a few workshops around the state this fall. He
was in the Japanese Exchange Teacher program for three years, teaching
English in a small Japanese village. He can talk about living in Japan and
teach Japanese language and calligraphy lessons. Our club members have
enjoyed learning how to write their names in kanji with authentic ink and
brushes on rice paper. It makes a nice art project for framing and we made
an attractive display with their work for Teen Read Week. The recent lesson
was learning how to count and write to ten in Japanese and learning how to
write and say the months of the year. Nate has games that make the learning
process a fun group activity. If your teens are like my Animanga Club fans,
they love all things about Japanese culture! If you would like to contact
Nate about conducting a workshop for your club, you can email him at
nmalenke at gmail.com.
