[OPLINLIST] RFPs and contract policies

Hello,
We are working on some financial policies and I would be interested in
hearing from any libraries that have written policies outlining when an rfp
for goods or services (excluding bricks and mortar) must be issued,  and
also policies outlining when the Director or designee can enter into a
contract for good and services.  Specifically, I would like to know at what
dollar amount is an rfp or prior board approval required by your policy?
