Program Description:
Three speakers will share tips and ideas for enhancing your Adult Services
program. This workshop is a statewide videoconference collaboration between
all four Regional Library Systems.

Janet Arno, Adult Services Librarian for the Cold Spring Branch of the
Campbell County Public Library System in Northern Kentucky, will present the
framework for designing an adult summer reading program. She will talk about
her success with planning a summer reading program and how to host an after
hours art show. Janet will provide programming ideas and discuss ways to
help fund a summer reading program.

Mary Boone of Wood County District Public Library (Bowling Green) will share
tips on setting up book clubs/discussions and bringing authors to your
libraries. Mary facilitates the "Monday Mysteries" book group at WCDPL and
was instrumental in developing the library's visiting program, which has
brought over 2 dozen writers to WCDPL since 1999.

Debra Frantz will present the Ready Seniors program. This program helps Ohio
senior citizens, age 60 plus, prepare for emergency situations. By simply
completing an online survey, seniors get a free Ready Seniors Checklist to
help them develop an action "what-to-do" plan based on their individual
needs and circumstances. The checklist guides seniors through different
types of emergencies and offers useful preparation tips.
