[OPLINLIST] KnowItNow24x7 Consolidation Update

Beginning January 2, 2010, HomeworkNow (www.homeworknow.org) and ReadThisNow (www.readthisnow.org) will both be re-directing to KnowItNow24x7 at http://www.knowitnow.org as the new one-stop-shop for Ohio's statewide virtual reference service.

Both HomeworkNow and ReadThisNow have always been a part of KnowItNow24x7, and this consolidation will allow for easier access to our service by patrons, more streamlined marketing by libraries, and other benefits. KnowItNow24x7 is funded by an LSTA grant awarded by the State Library of Ohio and is made freely available to all residents of the state.

Patrons will continue to get help from librarians, 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week, in finding resources for doing homework, suggestions for good books to read, and answers to questions for their general curiosity.

As part of the consolidation, we will also be unveiling new logos and icons for KnowItNow24x7 and links to these for school and library websites will be posted online. Updates on this will be forthcoming.
