Greetings!

Time is running out for you or a fellow staff member to register for
OHIONET's Fundamentals of Cataloging: Classification. With a NEW Curriculum
and NEW Instructor for 2009, the Fundamentals of Cataloging series could be
just the jump-start your technical services department needs! This HANDS-ON
series covers the basics of cataloging in five sessions. You can attend all
the sessions or only the ones of interest. In this session, we will cover
the theories behind the classification schemes (both Dewey Decimal and
Library of Congress) used by most academic and public libraries.
Participants will learn how these classifications are used for organization
and access to materials.

Instructor: Magda El-Sherbini, Cataloging Department Head at The Ohio State
University Libraries

When: Tuesday, February 24th, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Where: OHIONET

Cost: $80 (members); $120 (non-members)
