At the June 2009 State Library Board meeting Lynn Grimshaw

was elected President and Ward Murrey
<http://library.ohio.gov/StateLibrarian/aboutus/board/members/murrey>
as Vice President of the board.  Mr. Grimshaw, of Wheelersburg, was
appointed to the Board in July of 2007. He was the Scioto County
Prosecuting Attorney from 1977 through 2004 and served with the Ohio
Army National Guard for a number of years. Mr. Grimshaw served as a
member of the Portsmouth Public Library Board from 2005 until his
appointment to the State Library Board.

 

Ward Murrey began his term on the Board on January 1, 2008.  Mr. Murrey
retired from the State of Ohio after 37 years of serving as Director of
the Southeastern Ohio Regional Library System (currently the Serving
Every Ohioan Library Center).  He is a longtime advocate for libraries,
especially rural and small libraries.
