their personal history in Cleveland Heights and University Heights and
bring their memories into the digital age. Oral histories will be
collected and photographs will be scanned. These narratives and photos
will help provide a patchwork of stories about people, places, events
and the heritage of the Heights. Please come with a story to tell
and/or bring your photographs to be scanned and added to the Cleveland
Memory Project, www.clevelandmemory.org/chuh
Thursday, May 21st 7:00 p.m.

The Greenest Building is Already Built: Sustainability and Historic
Preservation

Superior School House 14391 Superior Road at Euclid Heights Boulevard
Parking at Cumberland Park (elderly and handicapped parking at
schoolhouse).
Many people do not realize that historic preservation and green building
practices go hand in hand. Tremendous waste occurs with the destruction
of existing homes and the building of new ones. Join us as we discuss
why historic homes are both inherently green and energy efficient, as
well as ways to button up your home for the cold season that are
practical, economical and eco-friendly!
